2. Type the following climate data for Port Allegany, PA into the MS Excel spreadsheet.
3. Once the data is entered, highlight the data set.
4. Select the insert tab, followed by the column graph. Choose the first 2D column graph option.
5. Note that both the precipitation and temperature data are displayed in column format and only a left vertical axis is utilized.
6. In a climograph, temperature data is displayed using a line graph with the temperature scale being displayed in a separate vertical axis on the right.
7. To make the necessary changes to the graph, RIGHT click on one of the red temperature bars in the chart area. Notice that these bars are now selected.
8. Scroll down and select "format data series," in the series options box, select plot series data on secondary axis. Select close.
9. RIGHTclick on one of the red temperature bars again and choose "change series chart type". Select the first or forth line graph option, select OK.
10. To add a title and labels for the x- and y-axes, click on the chart area to display chart tools tabs - "design, layout, format".
